Been a nice run in Florida, good shows, good times. Tom let Brock ride his Harley (only around the block in the neighborhood). We went to the dog-track in Sarasota. We did miss 50 cent hot dogs and beers by one night, oh well.
We shall be leaving early in the morning to barnstorm Birmingham.
I hope they like red-necks, oh wait, it's Alabama.
Funniest line of the weekend...
The very nice bartender at Heather's Place in Safety Harbor invited us to a fixed gear bike bar and called his friends to tell them he was bringing some actual hill-billy's with him. You can't get offended by that when you grew up 15 miles from the nearest gas station.
Hope Micheal J. Pratt had a great bachelor party in NOLA this weekend.
If you live in Birmingham, or have any friends there, holler. Not holla', holler.
Heather's Place in Safety Harbor, very cool establishment (too nice to call a joint, in my opinion). The whole town seemed like a very laid back place.
Lots of expensive, expensive looking houses on Bayshore, don't think I could afford the utilities.
I thought the Free Range Roosters were particularly on last night.
We have one cd left, one. I had to re-up the order this morning.
We certainly did not expect to sell out so quickly, but we are not sad.
We appreciate every person who's purchased one.
We will be doing something cool tonight, I'll update this later and let y'all
know.
A fine, fine evening in St. Pete, pretty much a full house. We met a lot of really cool people and sold a bunch of merchandise. It always makes us feel special when people dance and stomp and have us play more, when we're supposed to be done.
I think our buddy Animal had a good birthday.
We're heading up to Safety Harbor tonight, to Heather's Place. We're going to play a set with the Free Range Roosters, who we played with last night. It's really cool of them to invite us in...
Good times, good times.
More tomorrow... maybe
We had a great time last night in Franklin at the Bunganut Pig.
Cool room, nice people, we enjoyed ourselves immensely.
Once again Doc( of Doc's New Music) treated us right, good man, man.
We jumped in the car, outran the tornadoes, while listening to the silky-smooth tones of the great Eddie Stubbs and headed for Florida.
Tonight, the Ringside Cafe in St. Petersburg Florida. A birthday party
to make all others shake in their shoes.
Well, we're heading out again, Nashville and then a week around Florida and Alabama. We shall endeavor to persevere, or something.
Also, we'll try to keep you updated on our various places of interest on the front page.
June 11 will be one year since we put the record up, I'll try to post a round-up of how many shows and miles, downloads and sales and all the lots of new friends we have found.
Keep an eye out for the next few weeks, we may be right behind you...
